MERITS AND DEMERITS OF ROOTING YOUR ANDROID PHONE....
The subject of this article is not to root or root. I am not going to show how to root your anddoid device nor I am going to convice you all to root your device...Instead of it, I am going to illustrate you some commonly know merits and demerits of rooting a phone.
The Android was designed for both commercial and private use. Out of the box, this operating system comes with some features disabled, so to prevent the user to permanently destroy the OS.
WHAT IS ROOTING??
Rooting is a process in which the user get full access of their android device. In the other words the user get the root of the operating system and can make some fundamental changes.
DEMERITS OF ROOTING.
Let's start with demerits as most users often don't need to root their phone. Most users think to root and soon they realize that they do not need the root, but it is already late. These are the some of the demerits of rooting the android device.
Increased Likelihood of 'bricking' the phone - A 'bricked' phone means a dead phone and it feels the same as carrying the dead brick in your pocket.
Poor Performance - Some users experiences that their android device's performance is reduced after rooting their device. Despite the fact that it would increase the phone performance. You should know that rooting your android is making changes to your your stock operating system.
It voids your phone warranty - Once you root your device, the manufacturer's warranty becomes void. Means you destroy your device warranty by rooting your device. Higher vulnerability to Viruses. - By now you will get that by rooting your device, your device would be in under attack of dangerous viruses, malware, adware and all sorts of crapware, just like your computer. When you root your device you can flash your android device's ROM using custom programs. Making such changes to code of a software increases the attack of introducing the viruses...

Running special types of Apps - More often than not, users root their device in order to use some special types of apps or to access special features in their device that would not be possible in "un-rooted" phones. Take for instance, Superuser app will allow you to take access of that apps which had access to root system. Once you root your device you can tether your PC to your android device. You can change the sound by some custom softwares. You can change the functionality of your android phones.
Free up Memory - Some times you have seen that "device storage is full, free some memory to your device smoothly" . On an unrooted phone whenever you install the app it will get installed by default in the phones memory but by rooting you will be able to change the storage properties and can install your app in your SD Card, and thus free up the system memory for files storage.
Custom ROM's - The best features or merits of rooted mobile is that you can installed hundered of custom roms and can become a part of online developer testing program. By installing the custom ROM you can access many new features available in that custom rom. Also now you can install the iOS rom in your device. That's pretty cool. You can give your a different and a stunning look and also speed up the processor's.
However despite of the advantages you should tink twice or thrice before rooting your device. Don't think to root by its merits of some good features; also check the demerit. Sure the unlocked phone is very powerful device but if the things goes wrong then it can brick your device...
